Carmela Malara 82, of South Salem, N.Y. and formerly of Valhalla, N.Y. died on May 5, 2012. She was born on Nov. 18, 1929 to the late Rosario and Gilda Schepis in Yonkers, N.Y. Carmela was predeceased by her devoted husband Frank Malara, Sr. in 2008 and is survived by her loving sons; Philip Malara of Glastonbury, Conn. and Frank Malara, Jr. of South Salem, N.Y. one sister, Grace Allegra of Palm Coast, Fla. and one brother, Albert (Lucy) Schepis of Monsey, N.Y. Also survived by her four cherished grandchildren; Ross, Michael, Dylan and Robert Malara. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Monday, 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Tuesday 10 AM. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
